Peter Green died this week at the age of 73. You may know Fleetwood Mac from the lineup that included Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks in addition to Jim McVie (bass), Christine McVie (keyboard), and Mick Fleetwood. Peter Green was gone by then but was a co-founder of the group.

The original version of Fleetwood Mac was a blues band and Peter Green was worshiped as one of the great blues guitarists. Green had replaced Eric Clapton in John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers before forming Fleetwood Mac. You can read about Peter Green on Premier Guitar, RollingStone, and GuitarWorld.
