Little Richard Legacy via Long Tall Sally

Back on December 5th, 2016, I reposted a clip to my Facebook page for DanLovesGuitar of Little Richard, originally from Charles Pierce at Esquire. I followed that up with an earlier Little Richard video where he did Long Tall Sally and Tutti Fruity. I was a Little Richard fan. I was a teen when I discovered him on American Bandstand. He was Rock and Roll. Outrageous, over-the-top and exciting. As I mentioned in my second post, Little Richard was covered by many white performers and bands.

Little Richard, the Original – Long Tall Sally

So here’s a few of the greats who have covered Little Richard. Have fun.

Jerry Lee Lewis

Elvis Presley

The Beatles

Led Zeppelin
