Jazz Guitarists – Jimmy Bruno

Musican Summary

IMG_0045Jimmy Bruno is another of my favorite jazz guitarists. I first discovered him on a Concord Jazz CD. He can play incredibly fast while creating satisfying solos.

Jimmy started his professional guitar career touring with the Buddy Rich band. He eventually became an LA session player. After 20 years on the West Coast he moved back to his home town of Philadelphia, frustrated that he hadn’t been playing jazz and that was his true love.

You can read more biographical information on his website.

Jimmy has a reputation as being a great educator. He has given online instruction and has instructional videos.
